My Learning Analysis essay started with just vignettes that were put into the later essay. Here are the vignettes:
It was a nice starting point and exercise in narrowing down longer stories into a short paragraph. This condensing of stories was what I had to do either way later on
After the Vignettes came the draft and peer review
Here are some photos of my initial Learning Analysis essay draft with peer review comments:
From this person’s peer review, I got a sense of what parts worked well/had an impact, and what parts were weaker or needed improvement. I honestly felt the same way about how my peer commented on places of confusion such as on the second paragraph and found their questions a good guide as to what I should consider for my final version.
After the draft which was honestly me winging it, came the outline assignment I don’t normally do outlines but here it is: LA Outline Chaira
The outline is pretty basic in my opinion but at least it gave me a ‘track’ as to how to format the final essay.
After the draft, revisions, and outline finally came the final version: The Past Molds the Present and Future
While I definitely feel an improvement from my draft, I felt as if I removed a lot of personality from it that I put into my draft. But I think it all came out well in the end. The biggest problem for me is making it sound less repetitive now that I am rereading this essay retrospectively. This entire Learning Analysis essay and its processes was like a primer for what was to come later: The Historiography.
